Who We Are & Why We Do It
Welcome to Lower's Appliance, a family-owned and operated business founded in 1955 by Robert Lower and Lawrence Quigley as Lower & Quigley. In 1977, Robert Lower took control of the business until 1987, when he sold the business to his two sons, Elmer and Robert II. Sadly, Robert passed away in 2016, but his wife, Jayne continued working in the business, retiring in 2020 at the age of 91. In 2026, the Norris family purchased the store from Robert II (Bob) and Elmer. The Norris’ plan to continue the reputable legacy that the Lower’s have created in the Central Pennsylvania area.
